I started my capsule wardrobe in the heart of the winter and now that it’s time to start thinking about spring and summer, I find myself daydreaming and window-shopping. I need to refresh my wardrobe just a little bit and add some color. I really love a dress in the summer time so I’m on the look out for casual, color-filled dresses. I also really love a shirt dress, particularly in plaid.
And I would like a more thorough collection of colorful graphic or printed t’s and tunics that could all go with my leggings and ripped-jeans collection. I actually have this and I get so many compliments every time I wear it.
And don’t forget the ever-present cardigan (I have that one) that goes with everything. And one that goes with almost everything.

I know I commented on your facebook (or was it instagram) but I just want to profess my love for modcloth one more time. I wish their prices were juuuuust a touch lower, and then they’d make up my whole wardrobe. I got a gift card for my birthday last September and got a bunch of items during one of their big sales. I love how you can see the fabric makeup (cotton, nylon, polyester) because that can make or break a piece for me! I also love the way they e-mail you “something you love is on sale!” Which, hello, genius marketing.
Agreed! Sometimes the prices can be quite prohibitive. But since I’ve moved over to a capsule wardrobe model, which I’ll write more about later, I’ve started buying fewer, better pieces.
Which is why ModCloth IS so great! Because if I’m going to spend some real money, then I’m going to read the hell out of those reviews. They make deciding whether or not you’re getting something great for you so easy!
