Thanksgiving and the After Thanksgiving Part

The end of this post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking through my links. Thanks for helping to support the companies that help support this blog. The end of this post also contains a little bitty giveaway so keep reading.

I’m so thankful for so many things this year. I mean, look, 2016 was a bit of a rolling trashcan fire. But in spite of the friends leaving, the terrible movies released, show cancellations, celebrity deaths, blatant and subtle racism, the oil pipelines, and not to mention that other thing that I told you I won’t talk about anymore, there’s still a lot of beauty in the world. I mean, look.

There’s a lot of beauty in the world.

I’m grateful for this space and you–my small but loyal readership. If you’re reading this right now, I’m so happy that you’re here and supporting my dreams. I’m excited that we get to watch, together, as this little blog changes and grows and blossoms into what she’s most intended to be. If this is your first time, I’m so pumped that you’re here, too. Welcome, is what I’m saying. Thanks.
I’m grateful for my family–my husband who works and loves so hard and this little pup that we adopted this year. And the cat that we’ve had for a long, long time who hates the pup.
Subsequently, I’m grateful for the potential of 2017. We’re going to make this place better than we found it. You and me and us, together.

And now–for the After Thanksgiving Day Sales! Here are a list of sweet, sweet sales that you can attend to while still wearing your stretchy pants, on the couch, next to a cup of coffee and a slice of leftover pie with an embarrassing amount of whipped topping while watching Planes, Trains, and Automobiles (which is exactly how I picture you living your Best Black Friday Life).

Black Friday Sales:

Butter London is offering 40% off their holiday sets with Promo code: jBlFriday16. What that means for you is that you can buy fancy nail polish or lip gloss and pretend that you’re buying it for someone else but we all know you’ll probably keep at least part of it for yourself. And you know what? That’s okay. Self-care makes the world go ’round.

Tiny Prints is offering 40% off your order PLUS free shipping with offer code: DONTMISS40!! You’re going to buy holiday cards anyway… just do it for a lot less money than you would spend, normally. And free shipping. I’ll do a lot of things for free shipping.
Also an extra bonus, now through the end of the year, new customers at Tiny Prints get $15 off your order of $40 or more OR, if you’re really going crazy, $30 off your $80 order. For that one, use the offer code: AFF30OFF.

Tiny Prints - Thanksgiving Sale

The Book of the Month Club is offering a fantastic deal that I’m considering partaking in, myself. If you give a gift subscription to someone (and I’m in the middle of a gift-subscription right now, myself. It’s so great. I’ll write more about it in a few more weeks but BOTM is so worth it.), then you’ll get 50% off a subscription for your own self PLUS a free book AND a free tote! This is the gift that keeps on giving to the both of you. Not to mention, what’s better than giving a good friend a free book every month? Both of you getting a free book every month, it’ll be like a mini book club. This offer is only valid on 11/25 so set an alert in your phone. This is the one I’m most excited about.

Love With Food is offering 15% off all plans. They’re the ones with specialty curated snack boxes every month! And I just learned that the December box is curated by none other than Kelly Kapowski herself, Tiffani Thiessen. So, you know. If you want to eat what Kelly eats, pick up a box.

Get the Love With Food Black Friday Deal!

Society + is offering 40% off of everything. Right now! You don’t have to wait for that one to even begin–it’s already going. Which is awesome. I love Society+ because they are a small business, owned by bad ass women who help support bloggers like me. I really admire this company.

Cyber Monday Sales:

ModCloth! I’m excited about this because you all know how much I love ModCloth. They don’t even have to pay me to talk about them, but they do sometimes and for that I am grateful. And for that, I ask you to support them. πŸ™‚ But anyway, they’re offering 30% off everything on Cyber Monday + Free US shipping. I said it before and I’ll say it again, I’ll do a heck of a lot for free shipping.
ModCloth is also running other great sales before Cyber Monday but this is the best one, so it’s the one I’m telling you about. If you want to check out their other sales, head on over to their website right now and see what’s up!

Butter London is back with 30% off your whole entire order with offer code: jCyberMon16 (this will be valid from 11/26-28)

Brit and Co is offering 40% off of all of their online classes! Remember how I told you all about how great online learning is and what a great friggin’ gift these classes would make? There are so many different courses covering so many different topics, taught by leaders in their field! Well, they aren’t the kind of things that go on sale all that often so make your move! This offer is only available on Cyber Monday!

Well, the Book of the Month Club is back with the same sale that they offered on Black Friday. Let me refresh you. If you give a gift subscription to someone, then you’ll get 50% off a subscription for your own self PLUS a free book AND a free tote! This offer is only valid on 11/28 so set an alert in your phone. This is STILL the one I’m most excited about.

Soooooo, which offer appeals to you the most? Click through the links, here, leave a comment here to let me know what you like the very best and you’ll get entered into a drawing to win a sweet little something something from me. Drawing will take place Tuesday morning (11/29) and the winner will be contacted by me via email. No purchase necessary, this giveaway isn’t sponsored by any of the stores mentioned in this post–it just happens to be the season of giving. πŸ™‚

I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and are feeling so grateful. After all, gratitude is a cousin to compassion–which we could all use a little more of, these days.

XOXO, Lib

  1. Is that a pic of Anthony Bourdain? Is it weird that that’s my takeaway from all those sale notifications? I think the book of the month club sounds rad. I kind of really want that love with food subscription, too. I need to start thinking of others instead of “me-gifts.” Hmmmmm…

PS, I am thankful for you.

    1. Staci– Yes! That’s Anthony Bourdain! I thought it was the perfect banner to use. πŸ˜›
I bought a bunch of books for our nieces and nephews for Christmas but after that… everything I think of buying is for my own self this year. Hahaha! It’s not selfish, it’s just that Ryan and I decided not to get each other gifts. So gifts for him isn’t on my radar. (We’re going on a trip, instead.)
I won a 3-month subscription to Book of The Month on an IG giveaway and I’m so stoked about it. I might give myself another 3 month subscription when it’s all over. It’s great. Especially if you want to read brand new books–like I do. πŸ™‚

PS As the only person to comment on this piece, you win the very vague and non-descript giveaway. Watch your mail box next week! πŸ™‚
